Dr. Jono Sparks-Franklin is the founder and director of Third Way Peace Fellowship. Prior to his work at Third Way, Jono worked in academia after receiving his PhD in Religious Studies (Indiana University) and two Masters Degrees in Theology (Princeton and United Theological Seminary). He still currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Theology at Xavier University and is the director of a Campus Ministry at UC (UKirk Cincinnati). He is a candidate for ordination with Presbyterian Church (USA).
An educator at heart, Jono’s primary role at Third Way is facilitating various educational events and theological gatherings. While he is actively involved in all of our community mutual aid projects and daily programming, he particularly enjoys hosting conversations about political theology and the spirituality of nonviolent activism at Third Way Base Community. Jono loves helping secular/postmodern people explore the spiritual and theological dimensions of activism and justice work from radical Christian perspectives.
